How I kept a UAE insurance pipeline moving — 24/7.
At Policybazaar.ae, the difference between a converted policy and a lost customer is often measured in minutes. I owned the reporting and issuance workflow that sat behind every quotation the sales floor sent out.
Context
Policybazaar.ae is the UAE's largest online insurance marketplace. On a busy day, hundreds of quotations move through a fleet of insurer portals — each with its own format, timing, and reconciliation rules. If an agent quotes at 10:04 and I do not issue the policy by 10:19, the customer walks.
What I owned
The end-to-end operational reporting layer: daily quotation creation reports, agent conversion tracking, real-time issuance monitoring, and management-facing dashboards that were reviewed at 9:00 sharp every morning.
The approach
I standardised the source-of-truth tables in Advanced Excel, replaced brittle copy-paste routines with Power Query pulls, and built a single 'today at a glance' sheet that any manager could open and understand in ten seconds. When conversion dipped on a given carrier, the sheet showed why before anyone had to ask.
Outcomes
Zero missed reports across the tenure. Faster feedback loop from ops to sales — under-performing quotations were flagged the same hour, not the next day. The playbook became the template that new joiners were onboarded on.
